About Kabarak University

Kabarak University is a Christian Institution approximately 20 kms North of Nakuru in a beautiful secure and spacious environment, with residential facilities for over 1,000 students. The university also operates a Town Campus in Nakuru, conveniently situated close to the commercial center of the town. The University first admitted students in September 2002.

Total Responses: 0 Kabarak University has a scholarship award scheme for the best students in academics.
1. A student must obtain above 70% mean grade to be put on the chancellor's list. Further, they must have earned a grade of B and above for any course taken, and no disciplinary incidences.
For new students, B+ and above will earn one a scholarship.
2. To qualify to the deans list, a student must have attained a cumulative weighted average for the academic year of 65% or above, has earned no grade below C, for the year and had no disciplinary restrictions for the year, and may receive a limited scholarship
3. The university also has a merit award scheme.
    Any student who has obtained B+ and above in KCSE and has no disciplinary restrictions as a first year, first   semester, is eligible for a merit award, and may qualify for a merit scholarship.
4. Work Study Programme
     The university has a work study programme to assist financially needy students who have difficulties in meeting their educational expenses. The students are assigned duties in the various sections of the university for a controlled number of hours per week. The money earned from the work study programme is used to offset fee balances.
5. Trans-National Bank Scholarships
Trans National Bank established a two four-year full scholarships at Kabarak University during its first graduation ceremmony in 2005.
Qualification for the scholarships
  • A strong KCSE perfomance (mean grade A or A-)
  • A good Christian character
  • One coming from a Christian background with severe economic hardships
  • They must be from within the University locality
  • They come highly recommended by Church, Government and Educational leaders.
The interview panel for the recepients of this scholarship is composed of a team from Kabarak University Management and Trans-National Bank
